On 22nd September, Citizens Advice Wakefield District took a major role in the launch of the 10-Year District Plan, developed jointly in partnership by Wakefield Council, health services, statutory services, local businesses, local educational bodies and the VCSE sector.
The Plan sets out an important high-level vision for the district and Citizens Advice has played a major part in drawing up the plan. CAWD CEO Simon Topham, acted as ‘convenor’ to a key line of enquiry for the plan, on ‘Complex Lives’. Simon took part in the plenary panel and also joined Wakefield Council CEO, Tonty Reeves, Deputy Leader of Wakefield Council, Jack Hemingway and other local leaders in a series of working group sessions reviewing and reflecting on the Plan.
